Atlanta Real Estate Market | Team Building and “Niching Down”, with Jennifer Kjellgren

Episode 72:

Atlanta real estate market | The People Business

Like many of us, Jennifer Kjellgren fell in love with real estate by pure chance; it had a unique appeal and meshed well with her skillset. But in twenty years, Jennifer bootstrapped her way to the top of the Atlanta real estate market, where she now serves as a broker-owner with Nest Realty. The landscape has changed, but Jennifer relies on the same fundamental skills that brought her success from the very start. There is no ‘right’ way to go about this business, so when you find a strategy that works best for YOU, the results speak for themselves!

Pave Your Own Path

In a leadership position, Jennifer gets to spend a lot more time helping agents find their rhythm in the Atlanta real estate market. But there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution because everyone has their own workflow and methodology. “Some of you would probably have a seizure if you saw how my calendar was organized,” she says, and others would scoff at Jennifer’s approach to marketing her business. The only thing that matters is whether or not you are reaching your goals—if not, it might be time to look at areas of improvement. Structure can be suffocating, but you have to manage yourself one way or another. Operate in a way that feels authentic to you!

The Yin to Your Yang

People are an important part of our business, and that applies to clients and team members alike. Surround yourself with a team that is the yin to your yang, and find people who will keep you in check. This is an industry where we pave our own paths, and it is difficult to tell when we’ve strayed from them. Jennifer’s ‘why’ is empowering people who want to accomplish great things. In return, the people she helps keep her grounded. When we bring together a myriad of professionals with different strengths, it forms a superhuman entity that can achieve greater success than any sole individual. And when your superhuman entity is operating in a hyperlocal niche, there is no doubt you will dominate it!
